چکیده

Minimum inhibitory concentrations of lactic acid bacteria and other antagonist microorganisms isolated from natural sources Kaliningrad region (soil, water bodies, plant objects) were determined. It was shown that the minimum concentration Pediococcus pentosaceus metabolites against Escherichia coli is 1.5·107 CFU/ml; Pseudomonas chlororaphis have no effect test strain under study . found damnosus adversely affect growth , but at a CFU/ml after 6-24 hours cultivation. For by Lactobacillus casei characteristic with respect to studied 1.5-107 CFU/ml, for fermentum 1.5·105 CFU/ml. At Bacteroides hypermegas (Megamonas hypermegale ) equal 1.5·106 an optical density lower than control observed. The syringae inhibiting culture Acetobacter aceti Psychrobacter urativorans lowest inhibit

Determination of minimum inhibitory concentrations.

Minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) are defined as the lowest concentration of an antimicrobial that will inhibit the visible growth of a microorganism after overnight incubation, and minimum bactericidal concentrations (MBCs) as the lowest concentration of antimicrobial that will prevent the growth of an organism after subculture on to antibiotic-free media. MICs are used by diagnostic la...

GROWTH INHIBITION OF PATHOGENS BY LACTIC ACID BACTERIA PRODUCING INHIBITORY SUBSTANCES

71 samples of milk and dairy products were collected from 18 cities throughout Iran. 93 strains of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) were isolated and assayed against four opportunistic patho gens including E. coli, proteus and klebsiella as gram-negative and S. aureus as a gram-positive organism. All indicators (organisms) were hospital strains. Among isolated bacteria, lactobacilli (37 isolates)...

Determination of antibiotic resistance of lactic acid bacteria isolated from traditional Turkish fermented dairy products

In this study, the antibiotic resistance (AR) of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) isolated from traditional Turkish fermented dairy products was investigated. Yogurt, white cheese, tulum cheese, cokelek, camız cream and kefir as dairy products were collected from various supermarkets. Lactic acid bacteria such as Lactobacillus spp., Streptococcus spp., Bifidobacterium spp., and Enterecoccus spp. were...
